The Eagle Strike decals were nice. At this point I had gone through
the trauma of ripping out the front bulkhead. I had been concerned
throughout the build that it would be difficult to
get the engine aligned perfectly, but there are are enough definite points
of fit that it worked out well. I did have to remove some of the
center of the coolant tank in the nose piece to
clear the engine gearbox, and I checked the fit a number of times before
committing glue, especially by using the side cowl pieces to check.
It might be possible to pose
the cowls closed or open, except that if you choose open things will have
to be glued in place. I suppose an alternate would be for the cowls
to be stored off the airplane. I did not check the fit
of the cowls installed closed after test fitting so there may be some
small points of interference.
