The
propeller and cowl needed to be reworked. I rolled a strip of
sheet plastic around the cowl and built up the contour at the
front to a slight
onion
shape with Milliput. The trailing edge was thinned, two holes for
the exhaust were made, and a third for the starter crank. The
propeller
blades
were removed from the hub and the shanks were built up to a larger
diameter and sheet plastic was glued to the blade backsides
to
give the blades a flat profile on the back. Rings of tube were
added to the hub at each blade base, a new front piston was added, and
three
counterweights. Then the blades were reassembled to the
hub. The back of the hub was drilled out for a prop shaft.
