At
1000 hrs local time, the Spitfire landed at my
doorstep. Hilarity ensued. Pics will follow eventually.
Guys,
A few ruminations on the Spit and my part of the build. I've got to admit it is an impressive kit, one that almost tempted this diehard divine scale modeler to add it to his collection. Is it the best aircraft kit ever? Possibly, for the moment at least.
On to my part of the build. The wings went together like a dream. There were a couple of spots where I thought putty would be necessary, but some sanding was all that was necessary. Unfortunately, some of the delicate engraved rivet detail was lost, and I didn't have the tools or the skills to replace it. I felt like I should add this to my "kits completed" for the year as my part of the wings have almost as many parts as the entire Hasegawa kit in 1/72.
I can't wait to see what she looks like finished and Darren I hope you enjoy the CD of songs about Texas by some Texas artists. I really enjoyed working on this.
