The front fuselage bulkhead was fitted next.  Material was removed from both sides evenly, and also on the bottom.  
None was removed from the top so that the fit of the guns, which rest in the holes at the top, would not be affected.  
It was necessary to check the wing fit during this process because the front of the wing rests on the bottom of this bulkhead.
