When I fit the wheels in I found that there was some kind of disconnect in Airfix's planning. There seemed to be some attempt to key the wheels in the correct rotation,
but the holes in the wheels didn't really match up. Care had been taken to insure that the landing gear legs were put together correctly so I don't think that was the issue.
In any event, the nubs on the gears that fit into the wheels were all carved round and the wheel inserted. The nubs could probably just be removed as the wheels
and tires just barely fit into the fenders, it's a very tight fit.
