Hawker
Hurricane
Albert Lewis
and John Gillan Mark I Hurricanes
Albert
Lewis flew this airplane in France in 1940, and had is first victory in
it on May 12, downing a Messerschmitt
Me 109E and a Heinkel
He
111.
The aircraft is in the Dark Earth/Dark Green over White/Night. I
did it in the "B" scheme of even serialed Hurricanes for that
time
period,
but I found no record of the actual serial number, things became a bit
hectic as the Germans overran France. The hexagon
symbol
on the tail was that used by 85 Squadron in WW I. The propeller is
a two bladed Watts.
