The left gun bay was left open.  Breeches from a Verlinden resin set were used, but the feed chutes are from the kit, removed from the plastic breeches.  Brass
tubing of various sizes made up the barrels, with the innermost part of wire.  Wire from resistors was used for the gun wiring in the bay.

Most of the panel lines in the wing panels were filled using Mr. Surfacer 500.  No sanding was needed as I masked very closely on both sides of the lines, doing the spanwise lines first .  I spread in the Mr. Surfacer with a dental trowel, and then wiped the excess away with a cloth dampened with enamel fingernail polish remover.  Then I did the chordwise lines.  Each time after removing the masking tape I wiped again, leaving filler only in the panel lines, but saving all the fine rivet detail next to the lines.  I just don't like the oversized panel lines that seem to be the style now days, and was surprised to see them on a kit of this vintage.
