The wheels were supplied with clear disks with the spokes inscribed, so I
cast about for an alternative. Nice custom spoke wheels are
available, but they cost way too much for what will not be a museum
worthy model, but just a representative of the car for my
collection. I was looking for other solutions when I saw a Burago
Jag XK120 on my bookcase, and thought, those wheels look just about
right!
A little machine work in a small lathe brought them to what I think will
be an adequate solution. The wheels must be made of nylon, they
machined very nicely and no spokes were broken in the process.
