1/16 music wire front rubber
band wing hold down. Due to the minimal support at the upper
windshield corner these wires were installed to tie into the middle
fuselage longeron.
The
wire is CA'd to the longeron and servo mounting plate.
Battery
box from 1/64 ply with 1/8 balsa edge supports.
Installed.
Note the 1/8 balsa corner support at the top front of the battery
box. One is also installed on the bottom front. There is
also a balsa cross member added underneath the aft end of the box.

Scrap balsa was added to the outside of
the wing hold down tube gussets and saned to fair with the fuselage top
longeron and upper side stringer.
1/16 balsa sheeting installed
between the stringer and upper longeron, over the lower longeron and
sanded to fair at the bottom.
