Henry Struck's 1937 Benny Boxcar in 47 inch span for 1/2A

Sanding the leading edge prior to installing the sheeting.  80 grit sandpaper with light pressure works good, as does working off the edge of the table.

A method of hinging the elevator.  Small Robart hinge points were used at the tips, with notching and blocking as shown.
The T-pn was pushed through to locate the holes for the hinge with the parts properly aligned.

A channel for the joiner rod is routed  into the elevators, and then with the elevators temporarily assembled to the stabilizer
the carbon fiber joiner rod is tacked in place with CA.  Remove the elevator and glue the carbon fiber rod with epoxy.

Starting fuselage assembly.  Using the table on the plan, diagonals, verticals, and crossmembers are cut to length.  The saw is a JLC saw,  (google it)
which allows very accurate cuts because it has almost no kerf.  The digital caliper makes the job quick and easy.
The parts are just cut square now, the angled fits are done during assembly.
